Why GATE Exam is Importatnt?

  • Students who are currently studying in 3rd year or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or completed 2nd year. (10+2+2 or 10+3+1succefully completed )

  • Master’s degree final year students are also eligible.

Gate Exam Pattern 2021

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay becomes the Organising Institute for GATE 2021.

GATE 2021 will be conducted for 27 Subjects. Now Environmental Science and Engineering (ES) and Humanities and Social Sciences (XH) are introduced in GATE-2021for for the engagement of more students.

Some of the changes have been done due to the covid-19 pandemic. It will take 6 days to complete. The examination will be taken two-shift each day.GATE 2021 examination will be complete over six days and twelve sessions on the 5th, 6th, 7th, 12th,  13th, and 14th of February 2021.

  • Section 1 – General Aptitude
  • Section 2 – Mathematics and Electrical Engineering

Topic-wise weightage:

  • General Aptitude -15%(10 questions: 15 marks )
  • Mathematics – 15%(10 questions: 15 marks)
  • Electrical Engineering – 70%(45 questions: 70 marks)

Pattern of Questions

  • Multiple Choice Question (MCQs) with the single  correct answer
  • Multiple Choice Question (MCQs) with multiple  correct answers
  • Numerical Type Questions (Integers type answers)

Duration of Exam : 3 Hours

Marking Scheme: Test Paper have questions carrying 1 mark and 2 marks, ⅓ negative mark for an incorrect answer
