NDA Written Test Preparation 2020
The NDA Exam Written Exam has two papers on the same day. On the First shift, there will be the mathematics exam and on the second shift, General Ability Test (GAT).
The Mathematics and GAT question papers mainly cover Class Metric and Intermediate levels.
All Questions are in MCQ Format. Both Paper Covers 900 marks having Maths of 300 marks and General Ability Test (GAT) for 600 marks.
Mathematics Syllabus of NDA 2020
The Mathematics Paper has a total of 120 questions. Total Marks in this section is of 300. For all correct answer, 2.5 marks awarded. But for each correct answer, and one-third marks is deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates should have better command on the maths paper as there are less than 3 hours. Attempting More Questions are required. Candidates can first try the easy questions and escape the hard one. They can attempt hard questions at the end if they get some left time.
The question paper of Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT) is asked in both English and Hindi languages. So that candidates all over India should be comfortable with the question paper.
There is no change in the question Paper Observed Since The Last Year.

Quadratic equations, Permutation and Combination, Binomial theorem, Linear Equations Trigonometry Trigonometrical ratios. Height and distance, properties of triangles, Angle Measurements, Trigonometric identities. Calculus Limits, Functions, Continuity of functions and differentiability.
Derivatives, Slope and its graph,domain, and range of a function. Integration, Area under Curve, Solution Of Differential Equation, Application in growth and decay. Vector Algebra Magnitude and direction of a vector, two and three-dimensional vectors. Operations on vectors, scalar and vector multiplication, scalar product, and Vector product.
Geometrical problems, Application of Moment of Force and Dot Product. Statistics and Probability Mean, Median and Mode, Variance and standard deviation. Frequency distribution, Analysis of Data By Graph. Basic Operations on Probability, Terminology related to Probability, Conditional Probability, Bayes’ theorem
NDA Syllabus 2020 For General Ability Test
The general Ability test is further divided into two sections. The first section is English and the second section comprises of the G.K, G.S, and Social Science. Most of these Part II Section is of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
The English question is to test the understanding of practical English. Most of these questions covers the Spelling tests, Comprehension tests. Spotting errors, synonyms, and antonyms.

Physics: Physical Properties studies of Matter, Mass, Weight and Volume. Reflection and Refraction of Light. Archimedes Principle, Spherical mirrors and Covex and Concave Lenses. Pressure, Instruments for measuring Pressures, Human Eye, magnetism, Velocity and Acceleration, Newton’s Laws of Motion, Force and Momentum , Electricity, Conductors and Non-conductors, Ohm’s Law, Gravitation. Work Energy and Power, Measurement of Heat
Principle Of Working of these tools: Simple Pendulum, Rope and Pulleys, Siphon, Levers. Balloon, and its escaping tendencies, Pumps, Hydrometer, Barometer. Pressure Cooker, Thermos Flask, Periscope, Telescope. Microscope, Mariner’s Compass; Lightning Conductors, Safety Fuses.
General Chemistry: Preparation and Properties of these Gases – Hydrogen. Oxygen, Nitrogen, and Carbon Dioxide.
Oxidation and Reduction. Acids, bases and salts. Physical and Chemical Changes Carbon and its different allotropes.
Fertilizers, Elements, Mixtures and Compounds. Basic ideas about the structure of Atom Formulae and some basic Chemical Equation. Atomic Equivalent and Molecular weight, and operation on Moles. Law of Chemical Combination Valency
General Science: Solar System, history, Geography, Current Affairs.
